The scope of the initiative goes far beyond the dissemination of research results, but also encompasses the demonstration and implementation of technology as a real means of facilitating engagement and adherence in RAM. The initiative is intended to act as a platform for sharing knowledge and experiences, establishing links with regional stakeholders and contributing to building a strong and involved community of citizens, healthcare professionals and technology providers.

ICU4COVID is in full implementation in the Hospital of Madeira and its health centers, including Porto Santo island. The Secretary of Health highlighted the extreme importance of ICU4COVID for the population of Madeira island, as an European ultra-peripheric region.
